Episode 9

Summary

Episode opens with Song Meijuan and Captain Lin in bed, Captain Lin's injuries obvious. She asks him to quit and offers to support him. Cpt Lin has other ideas.

At Central Bank, STN tells WRL and HCY to drop everything and focus on the new work.

Zhang Mingquan and Yu Shiqing hear about STN's tariff vote, and start planning their response.

Protesters appear outside Central Bank, in the chaos, looting starts.

STN takes WRL out to meet 'big shots'.

At Central Bank, Zhang Mingquan is making a scene. HCY tries to reason with him, then calls the guards. Zhang Mingquan pulls a gun. HCY takes it and fires warning shots.

STN and WRL meet with Jiang Jinlan, and talk about the pros and cons of tariff reform.

In the car ride home, they talk about the threat of Yu Shiqing. WRL offers to apply for a gun permit. STN says no.

WRL goes to Qian Shaoliang and asks for a gun, is offered an axe, refuses.

Walking home WRL passes the New Show Club, sees Zhang Mingquan entering, remembers his gun, sneaks inside. ZMQ is drunk and making a scene, takes Song Meijuan to drink with him. WRL sneaks up and knocks him out in the toilet and steals his gun, wallet and pocket watch. Outside, WRL dumps the other items, and gets picked up by Qian Shaoliang in his car.

Su Cishu and STN are having dinner with Yu Shiqing and his wife. YSQ offers STN a new job, and stakes in two businesses.

Cpt Lin arrives at the New Show Club, finds ZMQ passed out, leaves him there.

At home, WRL practices aiming his stolen gun.
