Summary
Practical test of the trainees at the Central Bank. WRL bests HCY in an accounting competition. STN reiterates his instructions to HCY to investigate WRL's background. Li Shengda and LQS's men put on an act to make WRL trust LSD. WRL takes Li Shengda back to his rooms to treat his wound, then tells him about his brother's death. At WRC's grave WRL. light's candles, and agrees to give LSD the key and seal for the gold. The next day WRL takes the items out of hiding, and as he's heading out, A'Wen gives him the address to Rixin bookshop. WRL realises he is being tailed and evades pursuit. He ends up at Rixin bookstore, has second thoughts. He calls the police, informs on the bookstore, and waits nearby to see what will happen when the police arrive. HCY presents STN with a report on WRL's background. XN appears, masquerading as a fortune teller. SJZ sits with him, and he fills her in on WRC, WRL, LSD etc. LSD reports to Captain Lin, but doesn't tell him about the gold. WRL finds A-Wen, the two go for a walk and WRL talks over his predicament.
